What is the diff between driveline vibes and wheel/tire balancing vibes

I was running 32" AT and the ride was smooth , this past weekend i picked up some 33x12.5 Super swamper tsl ssr's that had 85% tread left on them and had them mounted/ balanced. At 35-40mph and 65 mph im getting shakey vibes, the steering wheel shakes pretty good. The tire shop said i might get slight vibes because the tread wear is a bit off but he said after 200 miles theyll even out . 200 miles went by and still the same at the same speed..Im thinking its a balancing issue but i wanted to check a couple things 1st.

1)Some posters mentioned that these tires can have a shake to them even when balanced and a steering stabalizer will smooth this out. Does this sound like one of those cases?
2) I have a 2" BB that i ended up getting vibes from , i dropped the tcase and they dissapeared , could the new tires somehow change any angles to cause this?

OOOOHHH! Super Swampers. I would maybe have them rebalanced.Did they road force balance them?A large tire like that needs to be balanced very precise not just close, or you will end up with those issues.Take it back and make sure they do it right! Watch them.If the Jeep shakes bad I say there tire balance job was a little left to be desired. Also it has to be a slug with those 3.07 gears.Good luck!

Swampers are famous for being virtually unbalanceable. Also, the huge lugs just vibrate.
If they've gotten a wear pattern at all, it will not go away on its own. Might be able to shave them and get rid of the wear pattern.

No, a steering stabilizer is not the cure.

Honestly.... unless the tires have really asymmetrical wear, I would go to another tire shop and have them re-balanced. Since you are going from 32 to 33, you really should not see a lot of weight difference in the tires themselves....AND your 2" BB driveline angle won't be affected by taller tires.... your jeep is just a little higher....

Truing a tire can be expensive, let alone the miles that are shaven off.Good luck!

why did you do that?

those tires will be near impossible to balance, will ride horribly and won't wear very even. those tires are good for one thing and one thing only - lots and lots of mud.

I have had 2 sets of SSR's and like them alot better than goodyear MTR's. the SSR's i had took less weight to balance than my MTR's and were quieter, i know it sounds like im B.S.ing but im serious.

I like SSR's.

Yeah, but the smell is sure cool!

To take a stab at the title:

Driveline Vibration - Usually caused by a high or low pinion angle after a suspension height change. Vibrations will be felt on either acceleration or deceleration.

Tire Out of Balance - Usually manifests as a steering vibration at a certain speed range. Could also be a defective tire or internal broken belt.

I run 32" TSL SX on mine. My experience with them is that it's a trade off. They will find something to grip where grippy stuff shouldn't be, but they don't balance worth a ****.

OH and they look cool too.

Usually, truing a tire will pay back more miles than you shave off. If they aren't true, they wear Fast and Unevenly.

I think i will take it back this week and have them rebalanced. I dont know if they road force balanced them , i just assumed that it was a reputable shop ( tires plus ) and they knew what they were doing
and yes it surely is sluggish. There is a 20 pound difference between these and the 32's . I find that amazing . I do have the new axles waiting on install which should help in that department
