took off the milk jugs, swap the side mirrors with some replacements that were in much better shape

Yeah My passenger hit it when he was exiting... LUCKILY it was only a squirt of dry chemical!!!

today i cleaned out the drain and sealed the air intake under the cowl, installed budget clevis pin front swaybar disconnects, and replaced the locking lug nut on my spare with a regular one [didn't have the key]. i also noticed my brand new radiator has sprung a leak

I'm tired of night time recoveries. Only time stupid 'friends' of mine decide to take uncapable vehicles offroad, and usually alcohol involved. They never have proper recovery points either. This time I had a strap looped around his axle, and pulled him out while idling in 4lo..it was a joke. I can't believe there is no frame access on the front of a Grand Cherokee. Guess I'll be washing my TJ tomorrow. I hate doing this each time but there is no other way for them to get out, or get a tow truck back there.

not entirely sure, i bought the jeep on tuesday and had the dealer put a new radiator in it...it has plastic end caps, and is a little bigger than stock. i think the hood might just barely put pressure on it cause it seems like its leaking from the top seam. i'll look tomorrow for some kind of id markings on it though.

Thanks. Just curious. I did mine at 111K and hope another is far in the future. Might help others, though.

tortured it on a 350 mile trip to casa grande, az on wednesday and drove it back today. poor tj, thought i was killing it. tomorrow i will wash and wax it im thinkin. thinkin its time to replace some u joints too, ive got something sqealing until i hit about 35-40 mph.

Drove it up to Tahoe on tues/wed and tried to find some trails near our cabin witn no luck. All the trails I could find were closed for the winter. Heading back home on sat, 493 miles each way (thank god for cruise control)!!!

98 TJ 4x4, Auto, Hardtop, 3" ZJ lift, 32x11.5 BFG ATs, Pro Comp 15x8 series 97 wheels, Hi-Lift Jack on the front bumper. More to come...

Yeah-Ive had "friends" like that before,too. After several recovery missions in the wee hours I finally started being alot less careful about where I grabbed their vehicles, and also started using chains. After body damages began adding up; they figured out where to buy their own recovery gear. Boozin and wheelin dont mix, and I have little sympathy for morons who get busted or busted up out on the trail. Its also people like that who get the good trails and playgrounds closed down for everyone.

I Have A Similar Story...one Night A Few Intoxicated Friends Went Wheeling And Of Course They Got Stock...when I Got There At About 3 In The Morning I Decided To Let Them Hook A Chain To Their Vehicle Themselves...chain Went On Bumper, I Laughed, I Went Four Lo , And Kept On Going.
