Had some $5/day Latte sipping, cig smoker, Prius driving, soccer mom comment on how my Jeep must suck down the gas and cost me a fortune a week while I stood waiting to order a $1.60 black coffee at Starbucks.

Just smiled and chuckled.

started putting the softtop i bought earlier this year after i got off work last night(big mistake). i have.nt had a top on my jeep in over 1 year, and the previous owner of the top hadn't had it on his in over 3 years. needless to say the top did not want to go on. after 2 hours last night i gave up. started again this morning and and i finally got it put on, a total of 4 hours by myself, and i still need to put the rear window in, but of course it started raining.

Would you post a pic, please. The price seems reasonable. How was the install? Anything need to be removed or drilled? I'm removing the stock steps in the next year and wondering what to replace them with. I'd really like the Olympic rectangular bars...

here's the pics you wanted... it was really easy. took maybe an hour. i am not sure how the olympic bars mount up...if they're like some of the CARR tubular bars i believe you have to have a body lift to mount them. these bars mounted up to the frame rails behind the front suspension mounts and in front of the rear suspension mounts... i cut the oem steps off at the mounting brackets to the frame rails.. then cleaned up the cuts amd sprayed a bit of 3M rubberized undercoating on the bare metal. the mounting brackets attach with locking bolts and shims that go on the inside of the frame rail. looks a lot better after... now i just have to save up to get some new flares and tires
