-Finished wiring up my dual switch setup for my Hella 1000 lights. I just had the highbeam portion to finish, and now it's finally done
-Replaced one of the Yellowstar 100w bulbs in a Hella 500, that blew a week ago.
-Took the top and doors off, and put the windshield down. Then logged a bunch of miles driving around, enjoying what is probably going to be the last nice day in this area.
Sorry in advanced for the mass of pics, what can I say!
Also found a JK in it's natural environment, and had to take some pics. Just Kidding JK guys
techincally nothing to the jeep, but when i went to track my cage through rock hard 4x4, i found out they are short handed, so now my cage wont be shipped until middle of next week, and i ordered it on weds. i was hoping to get this thing on before my next wheeling trip. guess that aint gonna happen
Had a Flowmaster Hushpower II muffler installed. I have been having clearance issues with my RELA and a standard oval muffler. Had the work done at Back Country Products in Vegas and they did a great job.
It's a little louder around town but sounds better on the highway. No more rattle or rubbing.
Went down to Advance on the outside chance I might find a quality cap and rotor. No luck - all aluminum. The reason for the swap after 24K is that the spring loaded contact coming down from the center of the distributor cap is boring a hole in the center of the rotor. There are little aluminum shavings collecting in there. The oxidation on the aluminum contacts isn't that bad. In fact, it is a ton less than the cap the PO had in there. As Mr. Bransford surmised after seeing a pic of it after 31K, according to what the PO told me, I don't think it got swapped just before I bought the Jeep. Anyway, off to NAPA tomorrow. I guess I'm due for some fluid changes after 24K now, too. Let me look the fluids up...
EDIT: Changed the ATF (Mercron/Dexron III) in the transfer case (231). Looked almost as good coming out as going in. Diffs tomorrow...
