put the carpets back in.
tried out the window roll thing i bought.
did some audio setup planning.
sprayed "dead-down-wind" in an attempt to kill the funky old cigar smell.
realized that there is not much room in the jeep to put an amp other than under the rear seat.
Great idea! I'd like to know how well it worked. Those f ers can really mess up a yard. Btw, are you the same BoatCop from the HB forums?
Yep. That would be one and the same.
As far as the gophers, so far so good. Usually when you open up one of their holes, they'll close it back up almost immediately. The open hole has been there for a day and 1/2, indicating that there's no mo rodents to close it up.
Vaccumed out about three gallons of water from the front driver's and passenger's floor boards. ( went out of town for a week and forgot to put the windows up and it rained the whole time...)
Went to the local Jeep dealership and got my oil and filter changed (only$14.50 )
Went to khauffman tire to get my wheels balanced but they didn't have a balancer that would rotate fast enough so off to discount tire i went where I talked the guy down from $60 to $20 to balance all 4 wheels and give me free lifetime balancing...
all in all it's been a good day for me and my jeep....

My brother and I finally fitted the tow bar I mentioned on pages 901 & 902. It actually came before Wednesday already, but they couldn't get hold of me because my phone's battery was flat and I didn't get around to charging it and, and, and...
Anyway, it actually came with two hitches, one included in the little box with all the nuts and bolts inside the big box with the tow bar and another in a small box with the wiring. They supply the tow bar here with a bigger ball hitch because our couplings take bigger balls. Since we have bigger balls than you guys, our shafts are also thicker - please don't take this the wrong way!! - which meant I also had to have the original hole in the tongue enlarged by a couple of millimetres, but fortunately an engineering works did it for me for free. The guy made such a nice tight fit I couldn't even turn the hitch with my hand once he'd put it in the hole. Then I also went and bought a Nylock nut to replace the original nut, even though it came with a spring washer. I don't think that sucker's gonna come loose anytime soon...
Now I was just wondering; my rear splash guards' nutserts aren't all in place anymore. Is there a really good reason I should put them back on? They act like ploughs much of the time anyway... The same with those plastic bumper ends. The one is damaged and the other one's nutserts aren't all there anymore, and they had such a lot of sand in them, you wouldn't believe it. The bumper itself would also be a lot easier to clean if I just leave them off!
