Today I figured out why the floor mats that came with my jeep didn't fit... they were for the liberty (used dealer put them in.)

Also wanted to take off the doors antry my newly made mirror...
Couldn't get those things off for the life of me.. yes I took off the retaining nut. and the limiting strap. I can't believe how tough this is compared to my last TJ.

overall.. day of disapointment.

Got my hands on two cans of seafoam (somewhat of a rarity in these parts), and i'm going to use 1/2 in the crankcase (drive around for 30 mins then change oil), 1/2 through the brake booster, and a full can in an empty gas tank (then fill it to full).

Going to be doing this as part of my spring tuneup, along with oil/filter change, air filter change, and new plugs.

It's all on their website, and you can search on here. They can explain it much better then I can. Take everything with a grain of salt however, and make your own decision if it is right for you and your jeep. Also google "Seafoam" and read about it on other forums.

Well, let's see. I found jeepforum.com, registered, browsed through answering all sorts of questions I have had for a while, and decided to order a new 6.5" sub for my blown one. Also went out and got an additional cigarette lighter to hide my GPS power cord, and plan to repaint my flares tomorrow. Being unemployed isn't fun, but it gives me time to work on my Jeep.

Oh, and found the West Texas Jeep Club, got info on it, and am going to try to go wheeling in a few weeks. All in all a productive day for the Red Rider (as my kids call it).

added a winch guard w/light tabs and found the right type of rattle cans to simulate the rubicon/textured look in order to match the rest of the bumper and roof rack. now to figure out which lights to add.

No clicky! Looks good. Now its time for some upgrades!!

As for mine, I chipped the ice away from the doors on the shed so I could actually close the door and keep it out of the weather. The door has been frozen in 4" of ice for some time now.

I added a Taurus e-fan.

For the mounting of the overflow canister and power steering res I used part of the old shroud and mounted everything near the stock location. A little work with a reciprocating saw and some drilling and it worked fine.

Last weekend: New water pump, thermostat, and serpentine belt

This weekend: New soft top. It was a return fom JC Whitney so I had to get some bolts form the hardware store ($4.61) and there was a plastic tab broken off which I replaced with at bolt. Not bad considering the brand new top was half price!

That is scary, pic 2 looks too similar to some of the ones I took while replacing my water pump. White jeep too. For half a second i wondered how my picture got uploaded. By the way, is the air intake supposed to be pointed down like that. Mine points up.

It can be swivled around by hand. Mine points up as well... I haven't had any problems with it up, and I would think more water would get in it if it points down.. but the little water (if any) that would would just sit in the bottom of that intake box, no harm done.. I don't think it matters in any way shape or form which direction that thing points..
