Took it wheeling for the first time since the 4-link. Just a small trail ride so no pics. No problems other than tearing a valve stem, but I'll take that!

Installed the new antenna mount and got my antenna back on. In the process I managed to accidentally drill an extra hole, slightly dent in the tub using a screw as a punch, and then majorly dent out the tub trying to get the first dent out but hitting too hard and too far over. Managed to mostly straighten it out with a hammer and paper booklet (padding) but the dents and cracked paint are pretty obvious if you're looking for it. It'll all be covered in armor before too long so I'm not beating myself up about it. Overall happy with the turnout. Best of all, I can now get in the garage without pulling the antenna.

While I had the grinder and cutoff out (had to trim the mount's reinforcement plate to fit it under the tub rail), I cut the end of one of my extra Fabtech LCA's off to measure the ID. Going to order some tube inserts and Duroflex joints to put on one end of the extra arms and swap them out in the front. The joints will eventually get recycled for my 3 link/axle swap later in the year.

Test fitted my 20" led light bar that'll replace the light force hids. .. already have the switch wired in so all there is to do is find a couple washers in the shop for the bracket and wire in the relay and hook it up. Probably take an hour

Wheeled it yesterday, unloaded it off the trailer today. Give her a once over and possibly install hood pins tomorrow.

Cut off the dump on the stock exhaust, kept smashing it on the ground and plugging it.

The Jeep isn't a daily driver. I have my 06 Cummins for that. The AC in that will make an Eskimo shiver.

That's what I thought about the new 1980 CJ7 that I bought, no AC, figured what did I need that for. Still have too.

well you didn't get far... just the edges of the hood?

if ours didn't have such a fantastic paint job remaining from the factory, was going to go flat desert tan, possibly with digital cammo pattern. though I was intending to go for more of a Gulf War paint pattern with the black stencil lettering and inverted V.

yours is really taking shape, keep at it - been enjoying the posts and pics

Thanks. I got the windshield frame, grill, front of tub and lined the hood louver.

I may do some stenciling but not sure, my main reason for painting is scratches from trees and stuff. Its hard to see in the pics but where it says Jeep and wrangler are the original color and still shiny, at least for now.

I need to get it regeared bad, this lack of 4wd is killing me.
