Are you referring to the rubber snubbers? If so, either make spacers or order spacers. Gr8tops sells them reasonably priced.

I used a hockey puck trimmed to the same shape of the rubber bumper. Now I have a tire carrier bumper

Tried taking off my busted shock yesterday. As some know, I destroyed them via the spring buckets after putting in a Double Cardan driveshaft. Turns out the exhaust pipe was also in the way, so after removing the 3 bolts, it just sat there. Tried jiggling it around to no avail...

Then put a bit more pressure on it and the thing blew out of the lower bracket... Right into my face. 6 hours and $5k of medical deductible later, I walked out of the ER with 8 stitches holding my upper lip together.

It was a $hitty day

A new "what did your tj do to you today" thread...

You're not alone, when I changed my muffler out, readjusting the new one got me a black eye and broken glasses when it finally broke loose from the extension and the flange met my eye socket. Sorry to hear bro.

sorry to hear that - guess its good you didn't lose any teeth... you guys are not exactly encouraging me to go after my shocks... almost started it today.. but got distracted by "organizational" efforts in the garage and shed.
