looks really good i was planning on doing that this summer, what paint did you use?
Just a basic flat black enamel. One can did 4 coats on each side - I didn't bother with any prep work except a good wash the day before and paper toweling off some of the dirt and road grime. I'm hoping it lasts a while
Not nearly as entertaining as most of these posts, but I finally managed to get my LJ to a car wash and got all the salt and mud off the undercarriage. The owner of the car wash didn't even complain of the clumps of mud! Also, I'm 5 for 4 waving at Jeeps today; waved at a Tj and both the driver and passenger waved back!

After reading an old thread on tranny oil - I got paranoid that I had GL 5 in mine. So I dumped it and put in Red Line MT 90 - took it out for a ride and it definitely shifts smoother. Never was a problem but down shifting sometime was slower to engage - much faster now
You only get so many miles....enjoy em
Over the last couple of days: new ball joints, all new universal joints, tie rod ends, rebuilt rear bumper and swinging, co2 tank mount, new shocks, new back-up lights, rear axle seal, rear pinion seal, extended break lines, new steering stabilizer. Almost ready to head to Moab.
We put a new Leather steering wheel cover on my sons TJ. Not perfect but better than the torn one that was there. I hadn't done one since the 1980's. LOL $16.00 at Pepboys Auto.
