Drove my jeep loaded down with tools and what not. Helped a friend finish installing 3.5 inch metalcloak lift on his JK.

He let me have his stock coil springs. I'm contemplating swapping springs and lowering my jeep with them.

I had a crack in my windshield for several years, and it never spread. I think the flat windshield has less internal stress than a curved one. Never had an issue with inspections, as Virginia doesn't care about cracks if they're in the bottom 3" of the windshield.

Washed it then took 15 minutes to drive down the driveway trying not to get it dirty! .4 mile drive + 6 inch deep puddles the whole way = vehicles don't stay clean long....but I managed it for a change! Then pulled it in the garage and installed front wheel spacers. Now I don't rub at full lock anymore!

installed my hidden cb receiver! one step closer! just need to do my fold down tailgate mod so i can mount my antennae but that will be a while until i can get a hold of a pair of jacks to lower then lift the gas tank.

i put the cobra 75 receiver under the shifter console and the cb will hang on the dash passenger side but only when i'm out wheeling or on a trip. otherwise it will be locked in the center console once i get rid of trade these corbeau seats for some stock ones again. Can't wait to paint the interior dash pieces.

She took me out for a hike with my lady.

thanks for that info, thought i would wait it out too.

have a Suburban that got a bullseye and star fracture chip about the size of a quarter really close to the middle of the windshield, passed inspection for about 8 years, never got worse than the moment it happened.

then one day i bought a 12' 4x4 for a project, realized that if i propped it up on the dash snug to the windshield, i could close the back doors.

scooched it forward the final half inch, and just barely tapped the inside of the windshield in the area of the chip... plickkkk and it split in about 6 directions for several inches...

the curved ones have far more strength from the outside in, than the other way around...

guess its about equal on a Jeep.

New ball joints and axle u-joints. it took me a while since it was my first time doing it myself but all is done. The only real hiccup was when my breaker bar popped slipped out of the socket while I was applying pressure, flew out of my hand and landed on my iPad that I was using as reference cracking the screen

Not nearly as entertaining as most of these posts, but I finally managed to get my LJ to a car wash and got all the salt and mud off the undercarriage. The owner of the car wash didn't even complain of the clumps of mud! Also, I'm 5 for 4 waving at Jeeps today; waved at a Tj and both the driver and passenger waved back!

Just 50. But seems like the latter part of the 40's hit ya harder than anything. Can't speak for what's to come.

Took the carpet out. Back tub is fine but the front foot area is down to bare metal on both the passenger and driver sides. I guess carpet backing acted as fine sandpaper over the years and took the paint off completely.

I might have to do Hippoliner in the entire tub to prevent it from starting to rust. There is no rust yet, but without carpet it will be more exposed to the elements.
