Do you think there would be space for a wider CB the mount there? Would it clear the top of the gauge cluster?

With some of my tax refund it is time to do this years upgrades.
Ordered a Novak shifter cable.
Called MetalCloak regarding Duroflex control arms (2 weeks until they have stock in the shop).
I think I decided on a KOZ sport cage.

Feed the beast, feed it well.

Got more parts for my jeep. A Savvy 1 1/4'' Body Lift and M.O.R.E steering riser bracket for $85. Putting that in the to-do, big box-o-parts.

Remnar goes home.

Mama had a baby and it's 0331 head popped off!

so, I arranged for it to be towed back from whence it came

there I will laboriously disassemble the engine, inspect the lower half and if I'm lucky get to replace the head and valvetrain and pray for at least 72K more.

might even find it a donor tub and see about cutting out it's cancer

here's to hoping he's with me for another 13 years

Washed it, gave it a good coat of wax, a little buffing and even shampooed the carpets. First detail since I bought it a month and a half ago, and boy does it shine!!!

Take a look at #2

Internet rules:

2. Pics or it didn't happen
3. Get angry over literally nothing, at every possible chance you get.

Blackened the fenders....with a heat gun. Best and most economical way I've found. Looks like new and will last another 5-6 years or so before they fade from the sun again. This shows the first piece I did.

Big difference!
Any suggestions for wheels? It's super simple, mostly used for a daily driver, occasional trips around the ranch. Not in to anything flashy.

I'd look on craigslist for a set of jeep aluminums and drop a handful of pounds per corner.

Very economical taboot.
