Installed my 2" BDS lift. Gained about 2-3/8" in rear, and near 3.5" up front, but my original front springs were in bad shape and sagging horribly. Added a 3/4" spacer in the front as well, now the front sits about 1/2" higher than the back. I expect a little settling though, and when I take the hard top off after this winter should be nice and level I would expect.
I was not planning on the front axle shifting roughly 1.5" though with a 2" lift. Looks like adjustable track bar will be ordered shortly.
There's no way your axle shifted that much...do you have any pics?
I don't even own a jeep anymore
This is how it looks as of right now. Gotta add the D-ring tabs, mount on the back to attach it to the frame, and the stock tire carrier will be welded onto the 2 bars on the tire carrier. Then it will get powder coated and be done!
Are these up for order? I would gladly take one...
Got me some new sway bar bushings from Tarheel 4wd, never saw any with a grease fitting before.
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool.
Nothing like a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling. I have a few.
4.0 auto, 8.8 rear with detroit locker, 4.10's and 33x 12.50's
Climbed under the front of my jeep. I've been hearing a clunk with acceleration from a stop. Looks like my axle side upper control arm bushings are toast. Anyone recommend any replacements or do I have to go to the stealership.
Also I eye balled the pitman arm. Does the bolt look snug enough to you guys? I hit it with an impact gun to try and tighten it up but it didn't budge.
I also tightened up the drop trackbar mount's bolts. They keep working loose and it flexes while turning. I'm sick of this ****. I'll be getting it welded to the frame soon.
