Gave in. Filled her with stop slip and drove 5blocks to the trans shop (starting to slip as I pulled in) as the fluid ran out
apparently the last transmission shop forgot to torque the trans pan properly and all the bolts backed out
well now for the rest of my tuneup (oil, air filters, seafoam) and she might be good as new, almost, rust prevention and look into a new tow rated bumper as my OrFab is not

Found out my LJ came with both tops like the ad said, but no frame for the soft-top. That's gonna be a task to find.

At NAPA? If so, need to find one cheaper than the local one.

Got all my stuff from amazon for around 100 bucks shipped... I'd start there honestly.

- 12x Cree 3W LED Rock Lights
- GoPro Hero 2 Replacement Housing

Finally got off of my *** and pulled the Jeep to the back of the parking lot to do some testing. Was happy to discover that it was the drivers side u joint, not the unit bearing, making a racket. Saved me some cash there. Going to go ahead replace both sides next weekend. Got both joints and the sensor direct from the mfg with 2 day free shipping thanks to my Amazon Student Prime account.

While under the Jeep, I noticed that my p/s hose that I replaced about a year ago is leaking in the same spot again. Decided to go with Mopar this go round. Free standard shipping combined with the brake lines from Qtec. Needed to flush the p/s anyway so that's motivation to get it done. I also noticed the 30 has a pinion leak now, but it only has to last me until the end of summer, so I'm not touching it other than topping off the fluid.
And just added Ford 5x5.5 Hubs, Chevy SB Spindles, and 44 Caliper Brackets to this.

It's not far off. Body, frame, engine and half of the tcase are original, but that's about it.

drove it around town a LOT today...went to get a fire extinguisher for it, and decided I better come back here for a little research on the subject, lol. Went to get some more clevis shackles (as I have come up wishing I had at least one more handy on the last few pulls I've done)...they were out of what I was looking for. All in all, it was pretty much a bust of a day Tomorrow perhaps...."another day, another chance to kick the world's ***"

Anyone have any good places/tips on where to ground reverse lights?

I mounted some in my bumper & hoped the inside of the bumper would work, but apparently not.

I don't want to have to run 2 ft of ground wire either

I hear ya bud I actually just picked up the ome zj springs for the front of the lj in the hopes of getting a little more clearance, and ordered a metalcloak steering box skid. So you're not the only one

I ran mine to the bolts that hold the gas tank skid on. There's 5 or 6 to choose from under there.
