I was curious so I stuck the new brass key in the ignition while holding the head of the grey key next the the brass head. Jeep starts right up, and still runs once the grey key is tossed in the cupholder.

I also tried pushing the key up into the steering column next to where the chip reader is, this also works.
Awesome thanks for the info hopefully I won't ever have to deal with that issue again

Its quieter, warmer, drier, just better lol

Dropped front driveshaft at a local for a full rebuild.

Re-badged my Jeep in black.

Centered the steering wheel.

Nv3550 was making some noises I didn't care for...could just be my new quiet exhaust lol...so I did a fluid change. Looked like it needed it, seemed to make some minor improvement.

Someone brought in a jump pack to the store today to be recycled so I put a new battery in it and got myself a $150-200 jump pack for $30!

Gave the LJ a $5 bath. The only thing I hate more than mud is road salt on a black Jeep.

I am considering mud flaps. I know, not kosher for a Jeep but seriously, road crap gets all
over the sides and makes seeing out of tinted hard top windows all the more difficult...

Oil change, diff fluid change (front & back), coolant top off, and spare wheel mounted third brake light. Overall a good day!

Washed about a hundred pounds of thick mountain clay off of it, then got a new Walker cat installed. Top side of flat skid still had some primer showing so I put on a thick coat and will bolt up tomorrow. Also bought the parts for a ZJ tie rod (inner had to be shipped in) and continued my electrical work.

This is actually about the best case scenario as I'm going to the shop tomorrow anyway to get a new slimmer cat installed so I can mount my flat skid.

And here's the one tight spot I got in. Wasn't that sketchy but couldn't get straightened out. Ran some line and yanked it right back where it needed to be.

How the hell did you do that
