Lemme know what happens, I have a weird pop occasionally when I accelerate hard off the line, or when I let the clutch out quick..... Disturbing... Im thinking tranny mount though cause I have a clutch chatter occasionally.

Mine's definitely not a trans mount. I have a custom crossmember. This is mechanical, feels like skipping teeth, but no loss of power when it happens. I am truly at a loss.

Still trying to convince my buddy to quit locking his doors since he has a hard top. I can see him coming out one day with a big slash in it.

OT: replaced two of the three U-joints in the front shaft. Waiting on a buddy to swing by so I can use his drill to drill out the centering ball. Tomorrow I'm gonna go grab a front shaft out of an explorer and have it cut down and balanced for the rear shaft on the jeep. I think I will be at around $150 when said and done. Then I get to install my UCF skid finally.

You're the president of an offroad organization. I know you're in college, and most likely none of the guys in the club are professional mechanics, but haven't you had anyone else check it out to see what they think before having someone come pick it up on a trailer?

I hope it's nothing...

I haven't really read into your symptoms, but when I heard "skipping teeth," I re-lived the sound it made when I broke my spider gear in the D35. It made an awful noise and jolt periodically--which gradually got worse and worse.

I mean, none of these guys are going to be able to tell me any different. They know about the symptoms, but like you said, none are mechanics. It's going to take me opening up everything and inspecting for shavings and damage to find the source and I can't do that up here. Not to mention everyone, including myself, is busy with finals.

Mine has been weird since I got a new fuel pump. I'll fill it and drive 8 miles home and it'll drop down near the mark, then it'll take 230 miles to go from to .

I think mine has been acting kind of funny since I dropped down on it coming off of a ledge pretty hard.

Sounds normal to me, I average 250-280 miles per tank.

Measured my Jeep by driving into a garage that was marked with a height limit of 6'8". I just scraped the top on the PVC height stick so I figure I'm about 6'9". Then I proceeded to thwack my 4' antenna on a few concrete supports before I could get out and take the antenna down. Now I'm on Amazon looking to get a 2' Firestik.

I strategically placed all of the ones given to me for my rig that I didn't want in places that are either being removed or getting covered in the next year.

Pretty much stock besides flat fenders with 3.07 gears, 5 speed and a nearly all highway 45 mile round trip commute. Usually average between 17-19mpg year round.

Ok thats why... You have a highway gear. I have 3.73 gears and 31.5 inch tires. With the new tires I usually average 15-16 mpg, if its all highway I get 20.
