Finally got some new meats on the TJ. Love them so far, 1000x better than the nearly bald BFG ATs I had on there.

Well I was putting off that purchase, trust me Until I walked outside and saw that the dryrot between the tread blocks on my old tires was so bad it looked like they could tear apart at any time. I'll take the shot to my wallet over a blown out tire on the highway haha.

I was in your spot once man, just keep on saving up and don't buy stupid ****.

Sound like a great reason to upgrade. Almost all cash goes to the jeep and gas trust me ha.

Chasing sparrows, dropped the driveshaft and the centering ball just fell out when I was taking it apart. I guess I found the problem... $70 from Tom Woods, going to try and find it cheaper though first.

Well i picked one up local for $53. When I originally had the driveshaft made i paid an extra $15 to grind down the collar. Now I cant decide whether I want to try and shave the new one down, pay a machine shop, or just run it the way it is

I have a feeling BEETROOT was talking about metal shavings, but I guess that counts too...

O/T, took the plow off today. We're not supposed to get any snow for the next couple weeks... Which in Northern Maine means it'll probably snow tomorrow.

Where you located BEETROOT? ATTJ has a 8.8 that he is swapping for a d44. Hit him up, he is in Michigan.

Its so much more simple then the stock linkage, and after some adjusting it shifts really smooth.

Sold my lp30 and 35 and got in my ten factory shafts for my hp30. I think someone made a mistake and put them on their site for the wrong price lucky me :-)

Contacted my local vendor to get the following in preparation for my 8.8 regear which I hope to start by early Jan.
4.56 R&P
Install kit
and YJ Brake lines for the HPD30 for next year.
My plan now is to try to have it all ready for April 1 to go in. I will be buying stuff every month except April. At that point I will be missing Chromoly shafts which can be swapped out at any point (most likely during the breakin fluid changes)
Between now and mid Jan I want to have HP30 finished regearing and 8.8 cleaned up and all old brackets removed.

Oh and I need to decide on what Diff cover to get for the 8.8: Riddler, Solid or Ballistic Fab. (I like the skull but I don't see a fill hole)

yesterday I changed the oil. Today I rotated the tires, greased the frontend and got the front flares swapped out for some xenon flat flares. I may go get started on the rear flares after I get something to eat.
