Yup 100% sure its rubber tubing, connecting to a metal plate that doesn't looks like what the cps looks like. too dark for a pic now, gonna give it another shot tomorrow. i've looked where it should be and its driving me absolutely crazy.

^ right there where that wires should be coming out is a black tube that goes across the bell housing

That has to be it. Nothing else it could be. Do you see the 2 bolts like what is shown in the pic?

one bolt (should be one bolt for auto tranny i believe) that isn't 7/16ths like it should be. no wires coming off of it, a couple of plastic screw things on it, and that damn rubber tube. im stumped

gotcha, well either way no sensor, just a plate that doens't look like it with that rubber tubing

That's what's odd. Looking on the internet I find websites they say 1 bolt some say 2 bolts.

But since you have the same year you must be correct.

About 5 hours in to it...tranny out, cooling system out, power steerling off, alternator out, valve cover half off, need to figure out how to get A/C off. And I have zero clue about handling the fuel system

Taking a break for dinner and FSM referencing...I need a drink, lol

Mine is '04 manual and 2 bolts for CPS...10 o'clock on the bell housing looking from the rear forward
