Went to change the oil in the wife's wj and the drain plug just spins. Crap! Salvage yard tomorrow.
OT: thought I had angry sparrows. It turns out just the transfer case linkage. I almost had the front driveshaft off before I figured it out.

Anybody know the free length of a RC 2.5" front coil off the top of their head?

Crap just put mine in. Could have measured it for ya.

On topic. I lifted it and all four rear upper shock bolts came out great in spite of 16 years of Maine salt

Had them on my tj and I liked them. The ride wasn't bad at all and I was using their shocks.

I hope you put anti-seize on them. Mine came out after 10 years of Maryland salt the first time but 6 months later when I changed shocks again 2 of them broke off. After that and my nutsert problem I'm putting that stuff on every bolt that goes back on my Jeep from now on.

Keep in mind that the torque specification on the bolt/nuts you install with anti-seize will have a reduced torque requirement of approximately 15-20%, unless called out differently by the FSM...
