Fun stuff for the interior here lately. Corbeau lg1's rhino lined the interior and a few accent spots on the outside of the ol girl with the duplicolor rattlecan liner. In a few days I'll be changing all the tan to black with some colorbond.

I insulated my hard top from road noise and the cold - Just posted this in the cheap trick thread.

Looks like factory ... worked great.

Cost me around $50 and my time.

$10 PolyShild half-inch foam board – Home Depot
$10 Fleece Blanket WalMart (on sale)
$10 3M 77 Spray Mount Adhesive WalMart
$5 Spray Mount / Rubber Cement Remover
$10 3M Heavy Duty Double Sided Tap

TIP: I split the top panel in two, using the natural ridge as a divider.

If you have satellite radio, be sure to remove the Mylar where your antenna is. Mine is centered on top of my roll bar.

I installed the liner while my top was still hanging. May have been easier working on the the ground - but I didn't want to bring it down and them back up to install the top.

AFTER THOUGHTS: Because I have a roll bar speaker kit, the half-inch PolyShild foam board just makes the gap between the roof and the roll bar. So the hard top now rests on the sound bar. While the front clamps hold down the top as it did before the mod, the rear portion of the top floats a bit. When I tightened it down I noticed that my rear door just makes contact along the window rubber keeping the window closed. I haven’t had any air or water leaks; maybe quarter inch foam would have been a better choice – if available.

New plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, upstream O2 and camshaft sensor/distributor switch plate/pick-up plate/ignition plate (literally all four places I went to called it something different, even the two O'Reilly's, which I thought was doubly weird ).

Also got my SpeedoHealer tuned in.

Finished the 50k maintenance, even though I only have 47 on the ticker (getting a house soon so did it a bit early because I don't foresee a lot of time for the Jeep in the next few months

Got the 4.56 gears installed this weekend in the high pinion dana 30 I got. It was my first experience "helping" to set up a ring & pinion, and I learned a lot.

Last night I removed my rear springs and checked clearances with my new MC trackbar. Plenty of room.

Ripped out the previous owners stereo "system" and rewired just the speakers back to the HU. Also took some pics of my new rock lights.
Well this was all yesterday.

Whoo hoo! All done replacing nutserts. It wasn't so bad. I f'd up the first one because the article I read said it would be hard to turn until it collapses. I never felt it ease up and ended up stripping that one out. I had to run to the stealership for another one. For the next time and the remaining nutserts I used the torque wrench set at 80-ft/lbs once the nutsert started collapsing. I also picked up 2 bolts so I can at least have 2 per side until the ones I ordered come in the mail. And you can believe that I was very liberal with the use of anti-seize when I put the bolts back in.

I had a heck of a time getting my skid lined back up with the holes because it is so beat up from Rausch Creek. I really need to tummy tuck this thing. But first things first. Tomorrow I'm replacing the calipers, unit bearings, and front u-joints. Anti-seizing every dang bolt too. I may as well keep the stuff in my glove box.

Old nutserts ground off. You can see a nutsert remnant in there that I eventually got out along with the rest of them with a magnet and string. You can also see my recent Eastwood Internal Frame coating in the picture. Yummy green!

New nutserts installed

Keep staring at the pile of parts in the back of the LJ, axles, bearing, trutracs, gears, sve, driveshaft, rear trackbar and bracket. Thinking I might have to take it in to have a shop do the gears cause I wont have enough time off this week to finish it all.
