Didn't do anything to the TJ today, just changed the oil on the wife's range rover.

lol, exact same thing happened to me ....never did get around to replacing the idlers, because...on topic:

I'm pretty sure I broke it good. Lost oil pressure but had little choice but to drive it further than I really would have cared for. Stroker may have just moved way up the priority list, lol.

First Post!

Quick backstory. Just bought a Black 2005 RME after owning a 2009 JK. I sold my 2 door JK a year ago and went back to a truck (JK was my first Jeep) because I was starting to haul a lot and it was more convenient. After driving the Truck for a year, the wife and I both agreed that we both missed the Jeep, so this time I looked for a clean, rust free, low milage TJ here in Hawaii. HAHA i know right. Well after a few weeks of looking, I found a bone stock 05 RME with 45K on the ticker and the only thing wrong with it is a few rock chips on the grille, front fenders, and very front part of the hood. Honestly it doesn't bother me but if it starts to i'll either have those repainted or bedline them.

As for what I did today- started the 50K maintenance. Changed OEM spark plugs, switched oil to Mobile 1 synthetic, dropped the tranny pan and swapped the filter along with a fresh 6 qts, clay barred and waxed her.

Things I ordered today- Iggees all black seat covers, Monstaliner kit (did this on my JK and loved it for a safari top here in Hawaii), and 5 x Goodyear Duratracs 31x10.5x15. The tires get put on next week and i'm thinking of a BDS 2 inch but we'll see how it looks after the tires.

Want to say thanks to the forum as well as I have already looked up and used ya'll many times for bolt sizes and little things that are different than the JK's. Was a forum member on JK-forum so looking forward to chiming in every now and then.

Tinted the two front uppers. Came out great. Didn't use the regular tint. I used the "cling on" type. I still cut it to fit and used soapy water to adjust it. If there are any issues, I can just peel off and reapply.

A little pre-winter touch-ups

I decided to do a bit of touch-up to my 2001 Wrangler. The Color Coded hinges for the rear door were starting to "Bubble" so I sanded them down and primed and then painted in a semi-gloss black. I also touched/repainted the Door latches. The passenger side had a bit of rust. After I did it last night, the "anality" inherent in my character dictated that I do the Driver's door as well. I also did the Center Dash surround in a Silver to go along with the Black and Silver look. I was inspired by either someone on this Forum or another Jeep Forum who had done their's in Red (Red/Black theme). Next project either Iggee's or Marathon Seat Covers. Any opinions?

From experience, i can see below the rubber bumper on the left that you had a little overspray. Some acetone will take that off if you haven't got it yet.
Worked for me when i did my fenders and also painted some of my silver TJ black....lol

Yesterday I took my motor mount and body lift off. I am going to be moving down to 33s soon. It took a while to do but I got it all done!

Had a buddy of mine prank me and he posted my jeep for sale on Craig's list for 850...I'm in the middle of church and my phone starts freaking out. And I seen it was people asking about my jeep for sale so then IIII started freaking out. I got 32 calls/txts in 45 mins. Needles to say he got an earful. And I felt VERY unholy in church lol

Day 2 of Transfer Case flushing. I flushed it yesterday and took it out today and about 10 miles and when I got home I drained it and it was the colour of Pepto-Bismol. May drain it again on Thursday. I also drained the Transmission and it looked a yellowy-brown. It had Redline MT90 does that sound like it had water? Didn't have streaking or foaming in it which ATF+4 and oil with water has it was a solid colour. It had about almost 2 years on it since it was changed. Haven't done any deep water crossings except in September which wasn't even that bad. Looking at the bit I had left it was definitely a different colour.
