Hey what did you use to mount the cj hinges to the tub and do you have a kink for those reverse lights.

To mount the hinges to the tub I made a couple plates that were drilled and tapped, do a search for cj tailgate conversion and you will find write ups on it. As for the reverse lights, they came from Amazon and were 27 dollars, search for 2"led grommet mount reverse lights. Sent from my iPad using JeepForum

Put the top on the lj rubi today.. kind of a sad day though I had gotten accustomed to having it off for my long drives to and from home on the weekend.. but its just been a game of spider hunting since the install. Really need to find some indoor storage for that thing.

I have not even been driving the jeep. its been parked at my place I have been staying with my GF and they live 20 miles from my work so I use her car to get to work. With all the money I save on gas I can get more jeep parts though. it also feels extra good to drive the jeep when do. I have a fuel pump but im not sure if im going to put it in yet

Just installed the savvy corner armor along with flat LED tail lights and license plate bolts that light up. Very happy how they look. Much better than stock (IMO)

Where did you get the latches for it and can you show how they are mounted to the tub and gate.

I totally agree. And the more you hack it up, the more you're willing to flog it offroad. :-)

Did this all yesterday, but figured I'd share today.

Went Off-roading for the first time ever. It was a lot of fun

PS: Sorry for the crappy music, the lady-friend doesn't have the same musical tastes as I do

As a side note, I was quite surprised by the variance in people's driving. There were some guys with fully off-road rigs going over obstacles at a snail's pace, while there were other guys ( a lot in TJ's, Yj's, and one badass in a suzuki samurai) who were going over bumps quicker than I could imagine. There were guys with fully lifted F-150's with 35" tires crawling over bumps slowly. I don't know, it was a bit weird. After driving there all day, I don't really see myself needing to lift the jeep anytime soon, as I don't think I'm gonna go much rougher than this.
