Oh wow dont know if I'd run them that low if it were me but its odd you had trouble aired down. I know with my experience of the beaches at corova,NC I never had any trouble with sand aired down to about 12-14 psi on my mickey Thompsons.
only place that was issue was driving out... it was a dune type hill of sand to get back off the beach and i just sank into it.
Spending some time with my jeep today, finally got my smittybuilt rear fenders to match the front. And throwing on my dual cb antennas.
You'll like them. A lot of people bash the smitty products and maybe rightfully so, but they do a few things correct and their rear fenders are one of them. They lined up perfectly with all the stock holes, they're strong and the powdercoating is much better than previous products, plus the price is right
Looked at those tires.... Manufactured in early '03

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

IMHO, save the little extra to buy the 'higher end' stuff now. You may feel it in the wallet for a bit, but I've found that with MANY things it is better to just suck it up and buy the good stuff right out of the gate... You're more than likely going to buy it at some point anyway, so why waste the money doing it incrementally??
ya, the money is currently here, and I don't want to risk it not being there later/always being like "I wish I would have just got them"
