Home from pismo. Discovered some clearance issues and lost a shock. The mounting pin completely stripped off.

Can complain though. Other guys had worse

That's next on my list.. Leaking everywhere I park is beginning to be a problem, unfortunately. I've fixed my radiator.. then busted a brake line. Fixed that.. Now onto the steering box ASAP. How'd it go?

Painted and mounted fenders and what not. Broke too many tapered mounting bolts and ran out. Home Depot and Lowe's don't stock them, so I guess I'll try the local hardware store this week.

Looks good-

With the bolts...if you are talking about the counter-sunk stainless bolts, Lowes and HD usually sell them, but they're proud of them. You can find them in the 'specialty fasteners' section by regular screws and such. They'll be in the drawers...

You like re BTF sliders? What paint did you go with for your corners and sliders??

I went through the speciality fasteners drawers at lowes and Home Depot. Neither one of them had them in the exact size I needed. Theirs were all too small. I even asked a worker for help, hoping I was wrong. But I wasn't. :-(

I painted primed them with self etching primer. I painted them with krylon fusion satin black so they will match the hardtop.

I like the btf stuff. My only complaint is the holes they drilled are in inconvenient locations in the tub. The install was way more tedious and annoying than I would have liked. I have an 8 month old son so I don't always have a lot of time to dick around with my jeep. This project has taken almost a month.

Sweet, Pismo is so fun. I haven't been in years but two decades ago I ripped he shock towers off my Toyota pick up. Oh, that's why they wanted to sell me extended bump stops with my lift. Too bad its hard to tell a then 23 year old what to do.

Nice man! Bonus for being right side up too. Im thinking about building a trailer for camping and yaks. Maybe put a rack on the lid of the trailer.

I'm not buying anything till mine is gone. The Boss' sentiment on allowing me to ditch the back seat so I could cage it has now become " the boys are older, so let's all go". I don't disagree with the logic, just bad timing. I need/ want the wheelbase though. Oh, and passenger room.
