Installed Rokmen 1/2" BL and 1" JKS MML. Got a little more clearance for those 31's, ready for Rokmen skid plates now.

Got a new air filter for the Windstar box instead of using the one I got from the junkyard. I though the paper was suppose to be orange, guess it was just really dirty.

I paid for someone else to work on my jeep (project entailed welding and torching off MANY old bolts, beyond my realm of ability)

Had a few weak spots on the frame patched and welded.

Had a DPG offroad Ultimate Kit installed (2.5" OME coils, OME nitrocharger shocks, JKS quick discos, JKS f/r trac bars, 1.25" BL, 1" brown dog mml.)
Added 33x12.50 Goodyear MTR/K tires.
POR15 coating on the entire undercarraige (Frame, axles, Control Arms, Inner fenders, skids)

New Headlight/Taillight wiring. Replaced broken window crank on driver's side.

Washed about three years worth of tree sap off of the entire rig.

Bought the Jeep when I was 18, 34 years old now. Giving it some love so I can keep it for another 17 years.

Pretty damn stoked with all of the mods/repair work. My jeep feels new again

Thanks! Up close and personal, it has a lot of body rust, but I'll be addressing that asap.

I hear you on liking it over the new ones. While I think the JK is a great looking and capable platform, I'll take a nicely built TJ over one any day.

I was about an inch away from pulling the trigger on a 13' Rubicon, but decided that I couldn't part with my old TJ. Glad I decided to build up my old friend.

Let me break it down...

-Drain oil- 5 mins

-Remove oil filter then watch it tumble down the engine compartment into the open oil pan and splash OIL EVERYWHERE- 30 secs

-shake head in discust- 10 secs

-hop into the bathroom to wash oil from feet (wearing flip-flops)- 5 mins

-walk to fridge, grab beer, go back out to garage- 1 min

-spread kitty liter and wipe oil from jeep undercarrage and garage floor- 1 hour

-re-install drain plug, oil filter, and 5.5 quarts of oil- 15 mins

Good times...
I have stopped cleaning the oil off everything. Two reasons, one it stops rust, two is the mud washes right off.

Was going to pick up an AMC 20 pinion seal for my TC, but them mean people at work actually made me work today, and stay late. O well tomorrow is early release.

The Jeep cracked its exhaust manifold last night during a shortcut through the mountains. Now I get to learn how to fix something else. Fortunately, thanks to JF and YouTube, it looks to be fairly straightforward to tear apart and replace. It's time to start spraying down the bolts with penetrating oil...

I'll do a stock two piece replacement unless someone has a better recommendation.

Just drove it to pick up some lotto. I'll send you each a hundy after I win. Beautiful harvest moon out between the torrid winds and clouds.

Can you afford the car? Have I provided you all the information you need on the car? Do you like the car? Then buy the car.

Going home form work last night and I guess the DW got me when i go in hard under the brakes. No problem driving just when I hit the anchors hard it just about shakes apart..

Time for some new CA's I think... Well good enough reason anyway.
