Had a pretty good problem solving day. Figured out why my gauges and radio and brake lights didn't work. Found a rogue wire I'm guessing installed by a previous owner coming out from right behind the cluster going through the firewall straight into the fuse block. No clue what it actually does but apparently it makes everything work. Got that all sorted out and tightened up the windshield all around and put the soft top back on, which is kind of a ***** to do alone. Tomorrow it finally gets its salvage title changed to rebuilt and some brand new plates!

Thanks. I already have flush mount LEDs, but no backup lights.

I'd recommend this light
27W DC 12V 24V LED Flood Work LAMP Off Road Floodlight 4x4 -Jeep Cabin/Boat/SUV/Truck/Car/ATVs Fishing Deck Driving Light 2150 Lumen 10V-30V Waterproof
http://amzn.com/B009AQTOP2

Cheap and VERY effective. The draw is so low I just wired it to the stock reverse light wiring.

I'm considering another to use both as reverse and camp lights.

re velcro'd and secured the straps for the safari top, the velcro unfastened whilst driving down the freeway yesterday and i had to hold onto with with my hand all the way home lol. probably not necessary to have held it, but i didn't want it to flip up while driving.

Wow. I sure hope that's all you do with your jeep and that trailer. That's a lot of tongue weight. You can see the sag on the back of end of your jeep.

Either way, nice trailer

Thanks The trailer is used for snowmobiles and towed by a f250 on the road lol. Have a smaller trailer I use to haul 2 snowmobiles behind the Jeep.

You run the soft top the same time as the hard top??

I say keep the color and change the uppers..it would be like having 2 different jeeps

Just think of all the trouble you could get in between winter and summer. No one would know it was you if you kept switching

I agree

I have a black hardtop and black uppers for winter

And spice soft top and spice uppers for summer

Its definitely like having two different vehicles

But I see where he's coming from I use to run spice offers with the black hardtop before I bought a new set of spice uppers

I'd go the route of finding some uppers to match the hardtop from craigslist or another member...

My dad took his Jeep to the shop today after years of it having no power. Yesterday it was going up a mountain and tried to shift into 3rd but just hung up and then slammed into gear. It only has 130k miles.

Damnit I told him to let me work on it first. : I have a whole tuneup kit and atf ready for it. This is exactly why him and I will never have a good relationship over Jeeps.

Jeep always slips out of second gear. Happens when I go over speed bumps and make hard turns... WTF?
