Dropped it off to have the exhaust manifold and y pipe replaced. Also going to get the deep pan put on and the AC filled and recharged.

I'll probably do that as well, I honestly don't remember if low speed has ever worked. Lost 2 somewhere around January...pretty sure the motor is on it's last legs as it makes a helluva noise every so often and figured I might as well wait until all but high speed died.

How did you find this out?
Previously had the same problem. Your factory sub has a wire that switches it on. If you hook that wire to the power ant lead, it will not get switched on except when you listen to the radio.

If you hook up the lead to the ACC or amp wire coming out of the radio, it will turn it on with any source.

It is also noted on a couple of other forums if you do a Google search.

Just ordered a UCF aluminum front bumper with winch hoop, MC front trackbar, MC rear upper control arms, two Rockford Fosgate 10" shallow mount subs, and a 500 watt amp. I'd say that graduation money well spent.

Now to buy a TV for college and save the rest of my paychecks.

did you hook up the power ant turn on lead on this adapter to the kenwood power ant lead or to the amp lead ?

I don't think so. I think I left the power ant turn on lead unconnected.

Going over the Kenwood manual, I think I may need to plug the Blue/White wire (Power Control Wire) to the sub lead on the harness. I never thought to look for it but I'm sure there is one. According to Kenwood the Blue/White wire: When using the optional power amplifier, connect this wire to its power control terminal.

that is the wire you need to hook up to the crutchfield harness Power ANT wire.

It's the power antenna turn on wire. You prolly don't have anything connected to it right now. Or if you do splice in the amp wire too.

Just spent a bit more of my grad money too. Ordered ****tybilt rocker guards and another set of d rings.
Still working on installing the 130 KCs I got last week.
I got the ****tybilt windshield light brackets on. I gotta say it wasnt the piece of cake job I thought it would be. The Allen bolts they give you are filled with paint so it's a terrible time trying to get an Allen key to fit in there. Got them on though. Was glad to see they didnt have a big "smittybilt" engraved on them anywhere. If anyone asks I bought them off eBay.
