I did 3 things today:
  • Romken Rear Bumper Frame Tie-in Brackets. But I still need to install the new grade 8 nuts to reattach my aftermarket bumper.
  • Added 3 more washers to the existing 3 washers on the transfer case skid (6 total) which ended the driveline vibes from the Budget Boost on my 04 with an automatic transmission.
  • Installed home made disconnects.

I tried out the jeep disconnected tonight. It was definitely a different feeling. And the fender flairs rub harder than ever if the wheels are turned. I still do not know, are you supposed to disconnect front and rear or just rear? Anyone have insight on this? Please/Thanks!

06flex: I appreciate your quick reply but I am rubbing the fender flairs when I have the wheel turned. This was the first time I have tried to run disconnected.
I have a BB and my 31's stick out 2-3" past the fenders. When the front end is flexed and the wheels are straight, the wheels will tuck in just behind the fenders. But if I turn wheel, they rub like crazy. I have the BB spacers and bumpstop spacers that match the BB. Do I have to bite the bullet or is there a solution this?

I also tried to buy some brighter headlight bulbs at Orielly's today, only to realize TJs have sealed housings. Doh! My headlights are "Wagner BriteLites". Orielly's has "Wagner Halogen". Does anyone know if there is a difference?

I have read some bad things about the 'RoundEyes' option so I am going to stay away from that...

Had to take off these 50 miles old BDS shocks because it's not firm enough to my liking -- What an expensive lesson. BDS Suspension would not give me a refund.

I bought and installed Bilstein. Firm like OEM, but with softer touch and absorbs pot holes and speed bumps better.

Can't see anything just a red x. Reminds me of jean when he couldn't see.

Though it could just be my office computer blocking from webshots.com

Discovered a piece of my rear pinion gear sitting in the bottom of the pumpkin. Looks like I'll be getting a new gear set soon.

I am not sure if they did the flywheel or not. Considering the time of repairs I would have to say no re-surfacing. I have read the different opinions on re-surfacing or not.

I will give it a break-in period and go from there.

Here are some pictures of the old clutch. It looks pretty worn out.

It was unseasonably warm (66 degrees and partly sunny) so I put the top down and took the doors off, then went over to campus to help my buddy set up his CB on his S10. Then it started raining. Then it started pouring. So I drove around in the rain for a while. It was fun until I was at a red light and a semi truck comingn the other way drove through a hole and basically dumped about 100 gallons of water straight on me. I got soaked down to my underwear. Jeep needed a good rinsing out before the winter, though.

LOL

Though that's odd, we have the same temp. here but not an ounce of water!
