I took a few more pictures of the rockers. The "black" Rustoleum actually comes out a dark charcoal grey. I actually like the colour, it breaks up all of the black on the Jeep. Plus, the paint stands up to abuse really well and is easy to touch up.
Did you get a FREE t-shirt with your rock sliders??
I think that I used black krylon paint. You have to remember though that the grayish color will match your fenders soon....
Got my Tom Woods driveshaft in yesterday, and put it in. Fit perfectly, and looks great. Now I can drive my Jeep again!!!! Went driving the trails on base here a little this morning to celebrate. Found out that my tires are rubbing a bit, so I ordered some 15x8 Crager Soft 8 wheels, with 4" backspacing. They should be here on friday.
I added it all up, and since I got stuck, I have spent $2700 in parts alone getting my jeep back together, so it wont get stuck in the same hole again. And now all I have is a good start! Just Empty Every Pocket is right.
New seat belts(front), cd(erroring out) both likely due dirt; new d30 pinion seal; gate hinges replaced that were overextended. Compliments on mods rather than the dreaded warranty cancellation from dealer. Now to fig a better way to carry a spare.
