Finished fixing most of the dumb design features on my Nates4x4 rear carrier.
Their jerry can clamping system is noisy, very difficult to use and requires tools. Whoever designed it has never used it in the real world.
I replaced it with a simple pair of Blitz carriers and straps.
Their draw latch pulls the wrong direction, so the carrier can never close tight. Again, designed by someone who has never had to use it and live with it.
That got replaced with a latch the pulls the carrier into the stop. Along with a shim to support the carrier, the rattles are completely gone.
And, for fun, I added lights and cleaned up some of my old wiring in the process.
I'll aim the lights more towards the ground when it gets dark.
