Did the rear drum brake pads today. I forgot how much I HATE drum brakes. Last time I did drums was an old 1987 Dodge Dakota I had. Think I got rid of it in 2001 and I got it used in 1997. Had a lot of little issues with that truck, but it was a horse and served me well. I just hate all the springs and little parts you have to deal with! Took me awhile on one side because it has been so long, but the other side was faster (naturally!). Test drove it and did the back and forth complete stop adjustmen troutine, and no brakee squeekee now! Fronts are OK but a little low, and anyway I wasn't sure where the squeeky brake sound was coming from so I bought front pads too- so I guess its front brakes tomorrow!
From an old Navy Senior Chief when I called him sir- "Son, don't call me SIR! I knew who my Father was!"
