Took the tire that I've been having trouble balancing to get looked at.
So it appears that I've got a bent rim not sure how, its been a spare its whole life. Must have been bent when I got it. I'm going to see if I can get it warrantied, I think I'm outside the warranty period.
Hope I don't jinx it but yesterday, nailed down a new contract that will minimize the amount of miles I put on my jeep starting next month. The nice thing is it is a 43% raise in per Diem. Bad thing is I was severely under paid. Jobs downtown and I ain't paying 180 a month to park downtown when there is an adequate bus system.
Congratulations. This is the way to do it. My company's office is on the other side of the country, so I'm permanent telecommute. No need to rush repairs, and even though I use it as a grocery getter and general runabout, I still don't rack up the miles. No need to worry about MPG as anything other than a diagnostic tool.
Will be picking up an Hp30 tonight for $50. Was going to put it under the TJ, but I don't want to spend the money (well I don't have the money) on a re-gear right now. I'm going to work on cleaning it up. I'm going to build beefier brackets, LCA bracket skids, a truss, add in inner-sleeves, weld the outer tubes, and figure out how I want to set-up it back up in the Jeep. May end up building a long arm set-up for it too.
