I bought a hand winch and rope from HF and various pulleys ,eye hooks, cable clamps and quick chain links from Lowes
Installed the winch on the wall
Put 2 eye hooks with a piece of galvanized pipe between them as a "pulley'' to get me around the corner of the wall to ceiling
Then put the 6 eye hooks and pulleys on the ceiling(making sure to hit a floor joist) also put the 4 eye hooks on the platform that used to be the hardtop dolly. i also ran the rope through every pulley.
I used a small D rind to transition from the rope to the winch hook.
Last i put my summer windows and soft top on the platform and raised it to the ceiling, I put 2 ratchet straps on to keep it up in case something fails.
Installed a new passenger side mirror and installed the quick disconnect bolt that was missing from my discos to begin with. Then I got to practice welding some more. Helped make my dad a Halloween theme brush guard haha. Looks pretty awesome.
Also got to drive around with top and doors off for the first time in over a week. Feels great here, loving this weather.
Replaced fuel rail and throttle body (walking through junk yard looking for harness I found both already pulled and figured I needed to try them anyway) $40 later and jeep idle's better, didn't get chance to check high end sputter though.
On plus side I now know I can swap fuel rail under 20 mins (damn leaky o-rings)
Rebuilt my rear drive shaft. The clunk in the rear end when getting into gear is gone... I hadn't quite realized how much I was babying my worn driveshaft. It shifts so smooth now. Wife just asked me to run to the store. Sounds like an excuse for another test drive.
