Banks / Random Technology Exhaust

Installed Banks Torque Tube Header and Monster Exhaust with a Random Technology catalytic converter in between.

Install was pretty easy - stock parts came off easier than I expected.

Sound is nice but definately louder. It is nice when cruising but pretty loud on acceleration...I LIKE IT!

Ordered the 2.25" BB for the wife from 4Wheel Customs. Also ordered 4 Skyjacker Hydro Shocks from 4 Wheel Online. Pretty Good deal, $226.18 shipped.

I also bought her this lovely cardigan...oh who cares, I am gonna lift her jeep for her birthday...

I am probably more excited than she is....

Got the bracket so I can get in 4 low again after the t-case drop. Thought I'd be able to do the SYE by now, but budget is tight. Oh well, I think I'm gonna do a small body lift and go with 35's, So I'll probably still need it. Piece of cake to install.

3 days ago: Oil/filter change, cleaned air filter and throttle body, replaced wires, plugs, distributor cap, and rotor, rotated tires.

Today: Reinstalled CB and antenna and painted headlight bezels black.

It's a similar reason to why you can't get into Low if you do a body lift. There's a pivot point mounted between the transmission and the tub for the t-case shifter. Doing a body lift or a t-case drop changes the relationship between the transmission and the tub, and the shifter can't quite get into low. I could get into high, but it would pop out from time to time. The bracket I got just mounts to the transmission. It works great now.

For what it's worth, I'm a noob at this, just acting on what I read. There may be another way of fixing this I don't know about. And every Jeep is different, someone else may be fine without installing this bracket.

Doors & mirrors

I removed my doors and fabricated some mirrors. I picked up a couple mirrors from Pep Boys. Using a couple left over mirror stems from my VTX1800C I bolted them up in the top hinge. Worked great and look good too!!
