Well, I thought I was going to add HID lights. Last night that was the plan. The delta H-4 glass was going to house the bulbs. Not! The ones I almost bought had only 1 setting.. no high beam.. worst yet.. after they are inside the delta housing you cannot seal out moisture. Rubber gasket seal isn't designed to do so in such a manner. So on comes the H-4 delta with it's original bulb back in pace. It will not create a tight fit with steel ring in place??? What?? There was some slop. I tried moving the rings from one side of the jeep to the other and then back to the other side.. no difference. So away both light set-ups go and after 2 hours of non productive time, I am back to the OEM sealed beam lights. Question, do they make an after market ring for holding the lights in place? Question, could the lights themselves be the wrong size even though the info which the parts company looked up stated they should have worked ? Just because they say that they will fit a wrangler.. could there be a possibility that some may be designed just for a Rubicon?? Hell ,I don't know. After fitting the ring on the light itself before I put it in the light socket area it was not as secure a fit as the OEM was.. I was hoping that when the ring was tightened down my luck might change.. No dice. I am trying to think outside the box here. I will order a few sets and then attempt to use whatever works. any brands with H-4 ability. Other than delta? Not that delta is bad but the more the merrier.

BTW, does anyone know if i can wirebrush the surface rust off the driveshafts and paint them with rustoleam? Will this throw off the shaft balance or something?
wouldnt imagine it would make any difference really, or no worse than it is now. taking off a layer of rust, and replacing it with a layer of paint. even trade. ive done it for years and never noticed a bit of difference.
Changed all fluids, bought a new Dana 30 w/ 456's and ARB locker, bought a new D35 w/ 4.56's, and installed new 7" fender flares. O.K. it might of been the last couple of days but it;s been a good week
