Installed a new Currie tie rod to replace the old Currie tie rod that had been bent/straightened/bent again. Just goes to show you even a solid 1.25" diameter solid hardened steel tie rod can be bent when the going gets really tough.
For those still running the lightweight OE hollow tube 3/4" tie rod on your TJ, the above should give you food for thought.
Installed and calibrated a Superlift Truspeed Speedometer Calibrator. It took some trial and error to get it right. The instructions were wrong and the customer service guy at Superlift was a MORON. Rubicon's are different from other TJ's and the wiring harness is somewhat different. Once you get through the install and the calibrator is working properly it's a good system for unlimited adjustments for tire and gear changes.
Anyway my speedo after a tire change from 31's to 35's and a gear change from 4.10's to 5.13's is right on the money.
i've accually been working on this stuff for the past couple days. installed c.b. and tail light antenna mount, front procomp lights, and right now im workin on puting on my new smitybilt winch.
heres a flex shot.
-sry for the wires hangin out. it wasnt accually hooked up at that point.
-winch isnt installed in that pic either. just sittin there

Since the engine is at the machine shop, I didn't do too much to it today. However, I have begun compiling my list of parts needed for the +30 overbore and all the other fun stuff (crank, cam, pistons, etc) to Stroke this bad boy to 4.6L!
I'm really pumped about having two 4.6L toys in the garage!!!
Installed Rock-trac transfer case, and Jeep-Medic Transfer Case and Engine Skids. Then took it out and figured out that I had my air lines for the lockers run in a bad location and when flexed burnt a hole in one. Time to redo those.
