Received 52Lbs and $350 worth of RP synthetic fluids.

I'm going to be changing out everything to synthetic if you couldn't tell

New black gate hinges came today. Took the top one off, no problem at all, started to think this was a cake job. Went to work on the bottom one, and of course, every torx bolt rounded out. Grabbed the grinder and 45 minutes later had the bottom one installed. They really look good with the tire carrier and stone gaurds, and the rear gate finally opens properly (ie, easy). The 33 off the back really trashed the factory hinges.

Also picked up some factory scratch paint to fix up a few dings, and got an ad in the paper for it. Have to admit the odds of me selling it dropped a bit tonight, now that I got all the little odds and ends garbage fixed that I've been putting off since I bought it. Going to stick to my asking price, which is probably high, but it's what it would take for someone to convince me to sell it.

Went doorless tonight, for the first time. Once I got the direction right, the bottom bolts just came right off. Played with each door for about a minute and before long I was free. Only issue is that I'm driving around without mirrors for now. I'll risk it for now, as it's a small town and I've noticed many doorless jeeps with no mirrors.

I also picked up my touch up paint today for some scratches on my hood. One of my friends didn't care to check her pocket when she climbed on to look at the meteor shower last weekend. Well, her metal wallet like thing put some half dozen decent scratches. White on black sticks out, so I "touched it up". Doesn't look wonderful, but oh well. The sooner she stops looking all purdy and new the sooner I'll be willing to lift and build.

swapped out the speedo gear. Amazing!! According to the GPS unit the 39 tooth gear works perfectly for 4.88's and 35" tires. This site http://jeepin.com/features/speedogear/index.asp)made the "tricky" part easy

A buddy of mine that works in a powder coating shop did some free work for me today. I took the windshield hinges, and one side of the door hinges off today, and spent about 3 hours sanding with air tools and a dremel. Once all that was done, he painted them a semi-gloss black for me, they turned out very nice.

Oh, and he painted a steel "mud flap girl" for me too. Another friend of mine owns a shop with a plasma cutter.

How much of a pain in the *** was it taking them off and putting them back on? Been thinking about swapping to stainless because mine are rusting a little, and I love the black hinges on a silver/grey Jeep. Now you've got to do the door hinges too.
