Got my buddys jeep and spent all day doing an axle swap. He blew his pinion and ring last week. Went from 3.07s to 4.10s. What a difference

Swapped out the door hinge bushings for the ones from Magnitude Engineering. Finally I can easily take my doors off and on again. Salt in the Midwest is a killer.

tracked down the loose ground wire for the tail lights, finished flushing them out. now they are ready for the LED's once they get here. Put on the tough stuff rear fender and slider protectors, put the caliper on and bled the brakes. Now just waiting on the winch plate, fender flares, new bikini top and steering knuckle.
I just have to get a 3 point switch for the winch so I can hard wire the controller in the dash.....

Dude you win, in past jobs I worked with office in Houston. We up here don't know what humidity is compared to there.

I wanna do an upgrade but with starting school again, I gotta save as much money as possible

Dana 44, or a Ford 8.8 (which will require modification). Front, you can get an HP30 from a Cherokee, or a D44 from a Rubicon, but the HP30 will be much cheaper and much more abundant.

Put my long stem motorcycle mirrors on last night. Don't like em, they're way too small for what I'm used to. Probably try to find something else.

Pretty sure I have you beat in Alabama.... Tomorrow it's supposed to be 97°, and it's been a longggg time since we've had anything less than 100% humidity.

in my quest to finish my tummy tuck; i cut the coil buckets out and reworked the OME track bar bracket to work with the OEM track bar with the DC driveshafts pinion angle.
had to cut the OME bracket in half, rotate the pinion, align the track bar portion of the bracket with the axle side of the bracket and tacked them together. removed for final weld and paint. I think it turned out pretty well.
next up, fab the engine skid and finish the t-case skid. Its so nice to have the t-case supported by a crossmember vs the skid.

Go to O'Reilly's and pick up one of their round towing mirrors. I think they have a couple of different sizes, but I used one about 5" across. Anyways, after that, go to Home Depot/Lowe's/your nearest neighborhood hardware store and buy a long threaded rod. I can't think of the exact name of it, but I'll take a picture of mine in a minute. Make sure you get one that's thin enough to bend in a vise or with big pliers, but will still be sturdy... I think I used 5/16" ? Hopefully you can figure it out from there from the picture.

There is no way lol. I said the AVERAGE as in for the year (there is no winter here). Think of it as southern FL but more humid. right now its summer and its 100% humidity all day, every day. and between 97-105 most days.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I'm assuming it will be the front axel off of the Cherokee or rubi right (sorry to sound like an idiot, just trying to cover all my bases)
