Bad day in the shop today. Was gonna do the Transgo shift kit, but the stoopid solenoid connector on the pass side of the trans conspired against that. Chrysler couldn't have made it any harder to get to. :

Wound up abandoning that plan and just did fluid and filter.

Replaced both inner axle seals today, because I noticed some oil dripping out the end of the axle tube since a U-joint decided to lose one of it's bearing caps and let the shaft chew it up a little... Not too bad of a job for being the first time I really got into the diff. Ended up just pulling the inner shaft for now and stuffing a rag in there, till my RCV's show up early this week. Then its on!

Also did the ZJ tie rod upgrade while I was at it, since I tweaked the stock tie rod last time out.

Then I adjusted my pinion angle a little more up, and went for a test drive.

OMG! No vibrations, no uneasy feel to the wheel, she drives like brand new, really. Brand new 35s, and brand new bilsteins were installed last weekend, so a lot of it is due to that I'm sure.
I have the same track bar, with all johnny joints in my suspension now it drives better than new. One hand on the wheel doing 75 down the interstate.

PS. Thanks for the help its greatly appreciated.
JKS makes pins like that. They came with my Discos. They may sell them separately.

OT: washed the trail dirt off it, discovered how close to carnage I came when I high centered it on a ledge drop off. Trans skid plate pushed right up to ~1/16" of the pan, whew.

Also picked up a 3"x30' recovery strap to replace the 2" one that broke trying to pull a Raptor out of the mud (had to let a Rubi with a winch get him out - still cool though)

Ripped out every component of the dash, center console and door trim, PAINTED IT BLACK! (and re-assembled). Overall turned out better than I thought it would. I just couldn't take the "khaki" interior any more, it was not quite Gray, not quite Tan... hated it. Still need to figue out what to do with the passanger side grab handle, for some reason the material didn't take to the paint as well as the rest of the interior parts.

My wife made me three tool pouches that has 10 slots each and rolls up then ties off. Filled them up with tools and stuck them in the rear Tuffy box.

Love that Manik grille. Too bad you can't get a winch on there. I had a line on one about two months ago on the Western Ma. Craigslist. I was ready to drive two plus hours to pick it up.

Not sure where you can replacements, although the nut and bolt would most likely be fine because that is similar to what came with mine...see:

Actually, come to think of it, I believe these are quick discos ( from prev owner) bc I have pins on top and bottom of shaft as in pic, but I get a "clanking" noise while driving and when I push up and down on front bumper I can tell noise is coming from the lower attachment on that rod on the passenger side, bottom attachment. I have tightened it as much as possible, but I can't get the noise to go away completely...guess its something that's inevitable...any ideas?

Sandblasted my axles and loaded them in the truck to take to the gear shop tomorrow.

The front axle u-joints were a ***** to change. I usually cut the cross out with the torch and then the caps drive right out of the axle shafts, but on the one stub shaft it didn't want to budge. Got it out but ended up bending the ear, so it took about 4 tries of installing the u-joint and gradually straightening the ear until the c-clips would go in. Living in the rust belt sucks.
