I'll post pics once I have them painted up.
I had a few ideas in my head on how to make them, though the designs were quite different depending on the material being used. Round tube = this way; square tube = that way; That kind of thing...
These are made from round tube.

@Blu: Judging from the rust hole on the other side of the frame mount, I would say that repairs may be quite extensive...

Cut the body mount off and weld a patch on it!

dougbrown : Its cracked all the way around(up both sides, top and bottom) also it started to split the rail in half. Theres a few other spots I noticed that look questionable so Im waiting to see what happens.

O I see, I was thinking it was just the mount! New frame time.

Prob at least 800 to fix.
I had a, actually still have, a very similar rot on my frame. I took it to a shop that specializes in jeeps. They are going to remove all the mounts and brackets on the frame cut the whole section out in a "u" shape and wield in a whole new u. Since the top of my frame is ok. I'm sure you could do something similar with yours.

Nice looking GSD! After Monsterlining my TJ I found that my GSD prefers the carpet so he doesn't slide around. No carpet in front for me but carpet in back with a big canvas dog bed in back for him. But, that damn hair gets everywhere.
