A local dealer is waiting on a set of Bilsteins he ordered a while back as well. He was told Bilstein themselves are on backorder, so I'm not sure what's up. We thought it was just BS, but since now others seem to be having the same problem I guess not.

Installed disconnect sway bar links. Well sort of, haven't drilled and tapped for the disconnected holders yet. That will come when I have the wheels off for front axle u-joints, which is next.

Ok, in his email he said he will ship them asap. The communication so far has been great.

I noticed that you seem to have replaced a lot of parts in the recent months, are you in the process of a build? What have you done real recently to your Jeep and is it possible that during a repair and/or modification, there was collateral damage?
In january I replaced the top half of the motor, all the seals/gaskets, sensors, exhuast, and tuned it up. After a cylinder misfire and and some
sensors going out

Yes he is good with communication. I just wish he had the parts in stock. I have read nothing but good things about kolak so we'll see. I was a little hesitant to order from him being he doesn't even have a website up and running.

Got the Congo Cage on today - boy that is a visual improvement over a bone-stock TJ.
Got some YJ soft doors to begin modifying.
Anyone have an opinion on removing the stock sidesteps? I know it won't do much, but i don't know if i ever will use them

I was thinking the same thing, but saw others ordered so I felt ok.

What "stock side steps" are you referring to? Post a pic.

Anything that bolts to the frame will get torn up if you wheel it, and even aftermarket stuff tends to have problems due to the basic physics involved of dropping weight on the end of a lever...

I think you mean bolts to the body. Nearly everything I've seen that bolts/welds to the frame has been really solid.
Not sure where the stock ones bolt, but I've seen those plasticy POS factory ones bend pretty dramatically without breaking.

I'd remove them just to be sure

No, I didn't, and you need to get out more apparently...
