We all do stupid things some times. I remember I had a Yukon with 12” of lift. I noticed there was a rattle and after investigating, I realized the center caps were loose so I got the bright of taking some door edge moulding and placing on the edge of the center cap before sliding through the hole in the wheel.
I put them in, used an impact gun and parked the Yukon.
The next day I got to work (I kept it at my shop) and backed it out of the shop. I could feel something loose on the wheels but I was busy and figured I’d check it out later.
Well, later never came and that afternoon one of my employees took my Yukon down to a store to pick up some argon in a bottle. On the way back, he said the rear end dropped and he saw a 36” tire bouncing past him going down the highway.
Apparently overnight, the door edge moulding compressed and made the wheel loose.
Stupid things we do....

Bought the safari straps window net set so the pack can ride in the back with the top down. They look high quality. Also wired the switch for some LED cargo area lights. Hopefully install the lights by the weekend. Love owning a TJ

You could take the fuse out and the lights wouldn't come on

Why not just buy a set of those little coil springs that go over the button? That way you can still use the interior lights when you need them.
No?
Makes it so simple.

Wimpifed my TJ today. Went from 31x11.50x15 Trxus STS on 15x10 Eagle Alloy 118s to the 235/75r15 on stock 15x8 Canyon's.
Before:
After:
I plan on putting the Trxus STSs on the stock Canyons.
Also ordered some Moog cc874 springs for the front of my TJ. Should give me about 2.5"-3.0" of lift in the front all for only $73 including shipping off ebay.

If I remember correctly, the flasher unit is under the steering column. I don't think it cost much more than $10. Just pull off the upper and lower dash panel, and then it shouldn't be too hard to get to and replace. (like i said, IIRC)
Good luck!

Oil Change.
I know I'm supposed to love working on my baby. Normally, I do. This is just one thing that I haaaaaaaaaattteeeee doing. By the time I buy the supplies, drive home, do the change, clean up the mess, then drive the oil back to the shop for recycling, ugh. I know it's a cardinal sin to take it to a garage for just an oil change, but sometimes I almost wonder...
Next: plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
Ike
