KC's I oredered from JCW on Wed. night came this morning, man I love how fast stuff comes from that place. They screwed up the order, was supposed to be 2 kc's and a couple smaller fog lights for the outside corners, but the fog lights were the wrong thing.

Mounted the KC's and it looks good. Going to return the others to be replaced. Went to a 4x4 place to have them price out the Rugged Ridge SRC rear bumper/carrier for my Jeep to match the smitty front, and it was $700. JCWhitney catalogue came today (jeep addition) and they have it for $350. That will be ordered by the end of the day, with free shipping, can't go wrong.

Biggest surprise was filling it up, second tank of gas since I got it, and finding I got 15.8 mpg in 95% city driving. Very happy with that since I got 10 on the first tank (pre tune up). I know guys are unhappy with that mileage, but I swapped in a 2000 Expedition that was getting 10 mpg in town, so I'm very happy with close to 16.

That's awsome. Hope you enjoy it. And give them a BIG thanks.

It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top.

I guess picking all of the extra decals off ( "4.0, sport and TJ ") doesn't really count for much. But I did break a few nails doing it!

I'm assuming when you relocate the mirrors to the windshield hinges, you can't see squat out of them when you put the doors back on?

Went Doorless and did the mirror mod from http://www.4x4xplor.com/doorless-mirror.html

Cheap and easy mod. Looks good though they wobble a bit. Would be better with some bar stock or something more rigid for the mounting arms.
I guess the law is that you have to have mirrors not that you have to see well with them.
Sometime next week though I intend to paint them black

Oh, and while I was at PepBoys I picked up a Master Flow MF1050 Compressor

Which I will be mounting under the hood on the empty driverside battery tray

So, in the last few weeks the mods I have done are-
31/10.50/15 BFG AT's
Rock Crawler 97 Black Steelies.
Painted Fender Flares and Headlight Bezels
AMI Locking Gas Cover
Doorless Mirror Mounts
MF 1050 Compressor

after 3 days of wd-40 and pb-blaster, i got my drivers side door off, my and a friend pulling it up, 20 minutes, and lots of lube... and we got it's cherry to pop.... the passengers side wouldnt budge, so we got the hi-lift and a towel, jacked it up till it started stretching the springs, and jumped on the jeep to pop it... worked well... just watch the door doesnt fall...

man those were a pain.... i sanded um down, and wd-40'd before i put back in... not going through this again...
