My 99 just hit 67000, bought it with 60000 on the clock and put 7000 on since February.
What I did was take the top and doors off to drive to work, carried the tom woods box into the garage and sat it next to the rancho shocks. Still waiting on the currie lift, and bestop supertop NX.

Switched from Tera Flex to 4wheel Customs spare tire "adapter" bracket to fit my 33x10.50 spare. It works much better and reduces the leverage on the tailgate. I will just have to see how it works long term.

I worked in the tool department for Sears when I was in college, and I almost never saw sockets come in that hadn't been used with an impact gun (which technically voids the warranty). Tons of screwdrivers and ratchets, and the occasional box wrench with a snapped open end... And the Mexican roofers were always bringing in their half hatchets which they'd always cut the handles in half on, and never sharpened...
|
I was using a "cheater bar" I put a pipe around my ratchet so the handle is longer. And the same thing with the wrench. Although the wrench was technically my fault because I didn't have the pipe slid on enough and it bent it. Saying it's a "c" is really exaggerating. It just has a slight curve to it on the closed end

In 2006 I broke 2 3/4" Craftsmen sockets, 2 3/4" Snap-on sockets, and 1 bluepoint 3/4" socket... all 1/2" drive, all using only hand strength, no cheater bar, no kicking, no power tools.
I finally got the bolt out using an impact and hardened impact sockets borrowed from work.

Replaced the top radiator hose because it developed a pin hole. It sucks when it is in the 40's and raining and you have to take your motorcycle to get parts. But it only took me about 10 minutes to replace it and take it for a test run to make sure it didn't leak.

If you switch the hooks, you can still run the grill guard - bent or not.

Ahh, I think I like it better without it for now. Might get another hoop when I get the winch.

Just hammer those mounting plates flat, it's not like a winch hoop is structural.
