I'd love a winch, there's just no way I can afford a winch for a long time. Like I said I had to redo the outside wiring of my house, that zapped all kinds of money I didn't have.

If you can't afford safe recovery gear can you really afford the wheel? Hospital bills can cost more than a house.

You used a 1" JKS BL, right? I'm asking because I'm doing the same UCF skid down the road, and I was going to go with the Savvy BL or UCF's kit. I'm wondering if the extra quarter would make it work...

[EDIT: It was a JKS MML, not a BL. Sorry! Which BL did you use?]

Just goofing around. They look pretty slick. nice and compact
Thank you. That's exactly what I wanted. Lots of light, without the inconvenience. There are no clearance, or visibility issues, and they are held up out of harms way. If they do get damaged up there, then I've probably got far more serious concerns...

Agreed. That's going to be my best option. We've also got a few local guys who could probably do it cheaply if needed. I'll look into that this weekend.

Keep an eye out for branches, and you'll probably be fine

Took all four lower control arms off to adjust the X-Joint on my Rough Country 4" X-Lift kit. Had to tighten them 1 1/4 turns on all of them after only 200 miles on the road. If they do that again they are going straight back to RC and I will replace them with a Currie kit.

I sheered one of the bolts off my door hinge while removing my doors. Glad there is plenty of the pin to hold the door on.
