Yesterday and today, my son and I worked on the finishing (for now) touches to my new '06 TJ. Last week I had installed the extended fender flares and windshield post lights. This week, we put up the new front and rear bumpers by LoD...I can't say they really bolted right up---had to do a little cutting on the front one. But overall, I'd say they're a great product. Exceptionally heavy duty, well made and good finish. We then also installed a Warn M8000, a second set of KC lights on the bumper, and the tire carrier on the rear. We're close to being ready to try some mild trails to go through our learning curve. I'll be looking into a Hi-Lift jack and a tool set soon.

I will put some pics up on Imagestation tomorrow when it's daylight.

regards,
smitty

Finally installed the SuperWinch EPi 9.0 (and saw the Jeep sag -- literally seeing it sag down). Finished when it turned dark.

By the way, what's the proper torque for the 4 bolts holding the Winch down? I used 35#, but this seems low.

Installed door sill and edge guards and had the used tires and rims balanced. It sure is nice now not having the wobble and bad vibes, and they didn't even charge me! So if you need your's done, go in when the wait is over 2 hours long! Arm rests will be installed when the door locks come in, then soon a 4" lift , then new rims and tahrs

Pics of the mods my son and I finished this week, as described earlier.
Two weeks ago we added the fender flares and upper lights; this week, we bolted up the front and rear LoD bumers, Warn M8000 winch and tire carrier and lower lights.

If someone can host these images over onto our website, please go ahead...

regards,
smitty

Removed, painted, and reinstalled rusted forward rollbar tubes. Painted rusty tow hooks. Ran down to hardware store to get parts to fix some minor trim issues. Tommorow, fix the trim issues and make strap fire ext and flashlight holders.
