I finally moved my winch control box under the hood. It makes the front of the jeep look a lot cleaner. Next I plan to build an in-cab winch control if I can find the parts lying around the house (broke again, sigh)

Installed a skyjacker transfer case shifter linkage bracket, a 1" body lift, and a 1" motor mount lift. The motor mount lift was 'challenging'.

Busy day for me...time for a beer.

I installed a locking gas cap which arrived yesterday from jeepworld.com. I'd considered one of those fancy aluminum locking doors, but couldn't justify spending $100 on it when the locking cap is only $15. I also considered the locking cap which can be keyed to use my ignition key, but even that would have been $50 or more by the time I got through. The $15 cap with an additional key will work just fine

I painted my headlight trim rings black. It was the only chrome on my rig, so it had to go.

I put my bikini and duster back on. The weather is getting really pretty here.... mid 70's and sunny.

Last night I ordered some 3" black diamond springs to replace my 2.25" spacer in the front.

Cleaned, adjusted, and bled the brakes. Feels great and stops awesome, even running a set of heavy 32's on steel wheels.

Realized that my turning radius issues weren't from my crossover steering conversion, but were due to adjustments I did a couple years ago, when I was running stock. Fixed that and got back turning I should have had. Plan to check my clearances tomorrow in the light and see if I have room to make it even a little better.

Started swapping out my bent spare tire carrier for one I had lying around in the garage. Realized that backing into a tree will not only bend your carrier, but can also bend your tailgate. Had a few issues because of that, and still have to modify it a little bit to work like I want, so this simple five minute job will have to be finished up in the morning.

Helped a newbie to my club install a set of rockers on his YJ. Easy install, and he was very happy with the results.

Tomorrow will be used to finish up the stuff I started today, along with an oil change. Also start packing up for next weekends wheeling trip.

removed my back seat and all the mounting brackets and seatbelts so I could install my rear storage box.

Built the rear storage box and installed it. I will post pics tomorrow. It turned out really nice.
