Installed OME steering dampener, drove it 100 miles, got it stuck and unstuck (thanks Hi-Lift!), found a crack on my home made CB antenna mount, took picture:

Yesterday was fun. Today I'm busy getting bent over by our local service station for stuff I should have done over the weekend. $140 each for front/rear diff fluid, $125 front pinion seal (ok that I'd let them do), $225 tranny flush/clean (or $175 to swap the filter/fluid), toe-in alignment & steering wheel rotate..

Sigh. The bad news is, they're about the cheapest (and best) shop around. And I certainly learned a lesson about convenience vs getting dirty. I didn't expect to spend that much to save 3 hours of work and 2 hours of getting cleaned up..

Wired up an 8" JBL sub and a 200W amp and WOW

The stock system actually sounds impressive!

I sat in my jeep for a moment, basking in its presence, before moving it to level ground for to check fluids and grease some joints.

I wanted to hug it for prodding into all its reservoirs, I'm thinking I might still.

If you didn't know the correct way of doing this stuff, Stu would walk you thru it almost step by step Stu Olson's Jeep TJ Web Site - N7QJP

I had most of it prepped based on Stu's and a couple of others, but we ran through the first half of our list and then wandered off to play (dropped the windshield and headed out for crabs and beer.)

I figured that was a $200 decision, not an $800 one Now I know...

Took the rear seat out, probably gonna scrape out the mud later. Might swap to a windowless soft top for the rest of the week.

Painted my new (to me) door surrounds with a coat of krylon fusion and installed them on the Jeep (after taking off the top of course).

Put on my bikini top, and almost done with my front bumper. I'll post pics this afternoon on my build thread.

Yesterday put in a new water pump, thermostat, hoses, serpentine belt and flushed the cooing system. No more puddles under the Jeep.
