Last week I installed my HF 8000 lb winch. No flames on that one. I'll use it at most twice a year. Plus @ $239.20 I couldn't go wrong. I located the solenoid box to the Driver's side inner fender under the hood, So all is well.
Today, I installed my BDS Steering box armor and my JKS BML. What a PITA.
I'm still waiting for my OME HD kit to arrive from DC4WD so I can install it and my JKS track Bars and Quicker Discos.
Installed Jeeperman rear swing away tire carrier/bumper, 3rd member brake light, JKS 1.25" BL and 1" BMML. All went well EXCEPT I had to use washers to space the swing away latch down. Looks like Jeeperman's jig is off by about 1/2"...and further, I now have a MIL light, code P0016. Jeep goes to the shop tomorrow for that.

I've got a few cool add ons.
Installed my cb in the dash, installed my soundbar ( OSB decking, fiberglass, rattlecan paint and Sony 6.5in 3ways, looks pretty good for $50) and finally dug the bolt that has been rattling around my bellhousing out. Apparently I only have 5 bolts holding the clutch now. Oh well.
Installed 6.5 in Alpine Type S in the sound bar
huge improvement from stock speakers to these and huge bass difference with the 6.5 glad I decided to do this. The install wasnt hard.
unscrew/remove stock speakers
unzip sound bar cover
pull back cover
trim foam on the sound bar
trim the metal housing to add clips and redrill new holes for the bigger speakers
trim material of the sound bar cover for bigger speaker holes
plug alpines into a facotry harness speaker adapter
put polyfill in sound bar
screw speakers into sound bar
put cover back on
put tools away
all and all it took me about 1.5 hours from start to finish putting all the tools away and vacuuming the jeep. now just waiting for the brackets to come to install the 5.25 in Type S i bought in front.
FYI Bestbuy/Circuit City/ PC Richards (if in NY)/ Crutchfield has the newer model SPS-13C2 (5.25 in)/SPS-17C2(6.5 in) Type S coming in only difference is the grills and the new ones can handle 10 more watts.
But the 2005 models SPS-130A(5.25 in) normally 89.99 /SPS-170A(6.5 in) $99.99are being put on clearance. I paid $49.97 for the 5.25 in and $59.97 for the 6.5
