I'm 50 and have had three flats. All in my driveway when I'm heading off to work in the morning. So no, not particularly.

If it happens anywhere around here the spare is not far away, and if I decide to go off the beaten track I can strap the spare in the back.

There's a lot to be said for weight reduction of you're driving a 2.5L. I can't wait to ditch the hardtop and doors again.

What do you figure the hardtop, full doors, rear seat, spare tire and tire carrier all combined weigh?

Yesterday I installed an Aussie in my 8.8, and I'm about to go weld on all the brackets.

if you remove the rear middle seat belt, you can get a peice of thread all, and bolt your spare down, works great, till you get to a 35"

Did some exploring out in the good weather yesterday:

New additions/work this weekend:

Headlight, turn signal and running light guards:

"Netz" on driver & passenger side doors. Also did the console (not pictured):

Put spacers on the rubber bumpstops on the tailgate. (with the different backspacing on the new wheels, the spare wasn't tight up against them). Nobody around here sells hockey pucks, so I used a set of solid rubber wheels from a set of casters:

Two nylon spacers under each bolt on the third brake light mount to raise it over the spare:

Smittybilt G.E.A.R. tailgate system:

Do these straps simply hold the car seats in, or are they part of the harness that restrains the kids?

Took the windows out and let the fresh air run through it. It gets a little musty in there sometimes.

Those are the LATCH system...there is also a strap with hooks to hold the carseat to the jeepseat.
