I really need to post pics....I realized I haven't taken hardly any pics of my Jeep's progress...
Installed a tow basket over the rear bed, finished the front stinger, finished my stabilizer bracket (not much...really) to keep the stabilizer from rubbing the aftermarket tie rod joint at full flex......helped my buddy change his passenger front axle seal and repair his broken seat bracket.
I am going to ask them to do it correctly, sand down, prime, base coat and clear coat. I have all hardware removed from the two half doors. I will drop the lock cylinders off at the locksmith today after work and get a couple estimates on the doors tomorrow. I had meant to throw one of the doors in back of the jeep this morning but it was pouring down rain.
Exactly what I'm planning to have paint shop do, except they'll paint inside also. Got a quote of $300 from the Maaco's. Most are asking $400. They say the paint will not match 100%....
I'm going to keep sending emails from jeep.com on new option to order dual doors (half & full metal doors)!

cleaned up the jeep since the stealership did an absolutely horrible job in their 'car prep' work from when i picked it up. i can't express to you all how much i wanted to drive down to the dealership and kick the person in the face who prepped my jeep. spent about 1.5 hours today getting things started. got a coat of NXT tech wax (the paste one) on the jeep until i have time to pick up something better. also detailed most of the engine bay. still need to do the wheelwells and wheels/tires i'll clean that up tomorrow so i can take some new jeep pics to send to friends/family/etc.
i fully expect this sucker to be filthy in no time, but it's my nature to clean it up as much as possible for that one set of glory pics that i will be able to refer back to in 15 years and 250k miles and say 'yeah well it was clean when i got it!!!'
